Update

I've been in Vietnam for approximately 3 weeks, away from home for 3 months. What do I miss? I miss my crazy friends, a big bag of potato chips, my bed, extra light (TINE) milk, frozen pizza and friday night tacos. I used to miss proper bread, cheese and ham, but we found a western place that satisfies those needs perfectly.

To do some recap of the trip so far; 10th November me, Hanne and Inga began our amaziing journey down under. We landed in Sydney after some long flights. We stayed in an area that turned out the be where the hookers go at night, Kings Cross. We made friends with our dorm and I had my first sip of "goon"(its super cheap and sort of tastes like wine, but apparently its leftover fish). We picked up our rental car and finally our Sydney-Cairns road trip had begun! All in all Australia was a big success and I learned how to actually live as cheap as possible, especially when it comes to food and accommodation. We tried making dinner every night, but sometimes our pizza hearts screamed to loud not to buy 5$ dominos.  Cairns was our final stop, and it was one of the best stop for me personally. Our whole 8 bed dorm became good friends and we partied (almost too much for the hostels liking) and we had bad karma breakfast(insider) together.

Next stop was back to dear old New Zealand where we all spent a year in 2011 on exchange. We were met at 1AM in Auckland airport by loyal Emma and Kymberly and it was like nothing had changed, 3 years later. Me and Inga couldn't believe how exited we got from seeing New World (supermarket) and Waiuku College again. Waiuku is still a city close to my heart and my second home. Going back to New Zealand was amazing because of many factors; renting a car and finally travelling with no bounderies, my amaaaaziinng friends there, parties, the hospitality these people have, Globetrotters (Inga, Astrid and Laura) reunited again, Rhythm and Vines festival and a lot more.
My final and a bit more serious stop is Hoi An where I have been for a bit more than two weeks. Spent first 3 days in Ho Chi Minh where we met a lot of lovely people and me and Hanne got inked for the first time. Getting a second one in Hoi An at one point. To get to Hoi An was a challenge. Not only was it 23 hours, but we were both hangover as fuuck because we met two awesome Swedish girls the night before. We made it and suddenly we had arrived in what would be my home until May. I got to the local university along with 22 other students, the course is in English and we are studying development. A normal day for me is waking up around 6.30, breakfast 7am , school 8-11, bike for approx 20-30 minutes to study center at the beach and have lunch. At night we often have some drinks and smoke shisha. The house I live in is called "The Golden House" and 7 girls live here. We all bought our own bikes, easiest way to get around in Hoi An. Life is good and I wouldn't change it for anything at the moment.

Day two, Nanortalik

What a day! First we ate breakfast where our grandma's took a shot of "gammel dansk" as they do every morning.

Today a cruiseship was coming to Nanortalik so the locals had put up a show for us tourists. Mainly dance and choir

but also showing us what they wore and the boats they used. The museum was open so we learned heeaps.

Everything was open for tourists today so me and Tuva explored the church a little more than we think was allowed. We went in a door, leading for the church bell and we found this in the window on the way up
As u can see a lot of dead flies... Yuck

Later me, Tuva and Susanne went to the football field and watched an oldboys game! We ordered hot dogs, but had to wait an hour before we actually got them because they hadn't turned on the grill..

Because we got the hot dog so late, it was almost time for dinner. The dinner was at the hotel, Kap Farvel, and we had whale!! Didn't like it..
After dinner a Canadian told us there was a pool table and a pub at the hotel and that we should come, so we did! Turns out these men are a crew of rock climbers from Two Tales beer, making a documentary and a commercial for their brand! The creator of the company bought us drinks all night and played pool, we also learned a new pool game that the Greenlanders call Biljard. It was such an awesome night that I will never forget:)
This guy is from Brazil and was the director of the documentary. He won two Cannes gold!
Selfie with the man himself! Awesome man.

Aand everyone!

This photo sums up the night.

Copenhagen

Atm I'm lying in my favorite hostel(edit: thought I posted this in Denmark but for some reason didn't post), Generator hostel placed in the middle of Copenhagen. It's close to everything, and it is very easy to get there from the airport since the metro is a 5-minute walk  from the hostel.

The reason I'm in Copenhagen is because tomorrow I'm heading to Greenland with this lovely group of people! Where one of them is my grandma. My sister is also coming, but she didn't arrive until later today.

When we got into the city we had an amaaaaazing meal at top burger or something. We had roastbeef and the most amazing fries I have ever tasted. It was very cheap aswell to be that good. I paid 150kr for tons of beef. We even had to slice it up ourselves

The others doesn't stay at the generator, only me and my sister. We decided to go there to chill because it's an awesome place to relax. The old women left me and Tuva there so we had a beer and played darts and pool.

I actually won in darts:):):)

After we had some fun at the hostel we went to find our grannys and they left to go back to their hostel. In the meanwhile, while I was waiting for my sister to arrive with the metro I explored some of the cool art Copenhagen had to offer

Cool aye?

Theen i met my sister and we went to the dairy and had dinner. We also met some awesome Americans and a French girl in our dorm at the hostel that we got to know! The French girl was actually
On her way to færeøyene(???) to protest against their brutal slaughter of whales!

That was today and ill tell everything about our trip to Greenland in ten days:D

Tusenfryd

Drove to Hanne's cabin again after i finished work monday at 21-ish. Then we decided to drive to what I think is norway's biggest amusement park, Tusenfryd(*)! It was a loong drive, 7 hours. We thought it would only take about 5, but there was a flood in Lillehammer so we had to drive a detour.

When we arrived it was amazing weather, we are talking tropical heat. Not that awesome to be standing in line to though, haha.

annd monday night at the cabin, we watched the sunset on the roof. the time was around 12-ish

Tusenfryd(*), placed right outside the capital, Oslo!

Grotli & Lom

On monday me and some friends had tapas and ice cream. We played "Do you want to be a millionaire" and talked heaps. At the end of the evening me and Hanne (my second companion to the trip) decided to drive to her cabin at Grotli. So we did and the morning after we were supposed to go on a mountain but of course we over-slept and skipped that part of the day. Instead we went straight to Lom, a adorable place with a very famous bakery. The drive to Lom is also very beautiful.

At the cabin

Somewhere between Lom and Grotli

When I came back from Grotli and Lom my dad's iPhone 5 was waiting for me, FINALLY. Me, Hilde and Helenah bought a pizza and today I had my first day at work after what feels like forever.

And this is me now, ready to relax with Teen Wolf and documentaries

My awesome week

My week has been awesome. On monday it was Jonsok(*) so me and some friends had a bbq and watched Mexico vs. Croatia, go Mexico!! After the bbq me and Madeleine decided to drive to Geiranger, where we spent the night at Hanne's place. We woke up to beautiful surroundings and went to have a look at all the touristic places we could think of. Ørnesvingen, the Queens chair and Dalsnibba.

Dalsnibba

After Geiranger we thought we would go home, buut instead we went to Brikdalsbreen in Olden. It's a glacier, part of Jostedalsbreen, Norway's biggest glacier. And wow, amazing place.

We came home late and I mentally prepared for the final AFS camp that was coming up the next morning. This is the last camp for exchange students in Norway before they go home. Amazing group of people, and it is so fascinating listening to them speaking norwegian. A Canadian boy spoke so good I thought he was one of the leaders! We have this camp so they can prepare for the culture "shock" they might run into when they get home. But most of the time we played cards and volleyball.

At the moment I'm really tired. We took the bus from Haugen gård in Oppdal around 20.00-ish. And we arrived at Gardermoen around 2.30 in the morning. I slept in the bus, but not good at all because I was freezing. So that's why I'm tired.. It's 7 am and I slept maybe 1 hour, definitely worth it though!

The Canadian with the perfect Norwegian! (Trønder)

Rainbow road! :D

Germany and Switzerland <3

Ohh and I almost forgot to say that I passed High School!! I found out last Friday at 11pm, and me and Madeleine just had to celebrate. We got drunk and had an awesome talk with Michal and he drove us to Shell to get food at 5am in the morning!
